7. Chat

The Chat feature lets you message your driver, tour guide, or travel agent inside the app. You don't have to share your phone number to send a message — though you can reach people by phone from within the app when a contact number is available (see Contacting by phone).

Opening Chat​

  1. Tap the message / speech-bubble icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen.
  2. Your Chat inbox ("Message") opens.

Reading your inbox​

The inbox lists your conversations. Each row shows the contact's photo and name, a preview of the last message, its time, and an unread indicator when there are new messages. If you have none yet, you'll see "No Messages Yet."

Opening a conversation​

Tap a conversation to open its full history. Messages are grouped by date, and an "Unread Messages" marker shows where you last left off.

Sending a message​

  1. Tap the text box at the bottom (placeholder: "Start chatting now…").
  2. Type your message.
  3. Tap the send button.

Read receipts​

Sent messages show a tick; once the recipient has read them, the tick becomes a double tick.

Voice notes​

You can send voice notes: press and hold the record control to record, and your voice note is sent as an audio message with a waveform the recipient can play back.

Jump to the latest message​

When you've scrolled up through history, a scroll-to-latest button (a blue circle with a down arrow) appears in the bottom-right — tap it to jump back to the newest message.

Contacting by phone​

When a contact has a phone number on file, a phone icon in the conversation header opens a Contact Information panel. From there you can Call the number or reach them on WhatsApp. This means you can contact your team in-app even if you never exchange numbers directly.

Starting a new conversation​

  1. In the inbox, tap the new chat icon.
  2. On the New Chat screen, use the "Search for user" box to find anyone.
  3. Tap their name to open the conversation, then type and send your first message.

Each result also has a phone shortcut if you'd rather call.

Searching messages​

Open the search screen and search by message to find past conversations by keyword. If nothing matches you'll see "No Messages Found", with a Clear Search option.

Chatting from Job Detail​

On the Job Detail screen, tap the Message button next to your travel agent (or the chat button on an assigned driver/guide) to open a conversation with them directly.
