9. Notifications
Rectrix Link keeps you informed about your booking through notifications you can read inside the app. You can read all your notifications in one place, tap through to the related screen, and clear the ones you no longer need.
Opening Notifications
- Open the Rectrix Link Guest app and go to the Home screen.
- Look for the bell icon in the top-right corner. A red badge with a number appears on the bell if you have unread notifications.
- Tap the bell icon.
- The Notifications screen opens, showing your recent notifications in a list.
Reading the notification list
Each notification card displays:
- An icon bubble colour-coded to the notification type.
- A title describing what happened.
- A message with more detail.
- A timestamp (for example, 14 Jun 26, 09:45).
- A type chip naming the category (see below).
- An open-in-new icon when the notification can take you to a related screen.
Notification types
The type chip on each card shows one of these categories:
| Type chip | What it means |
|---|---|
| Job Request | You have been assigned to a job. |
| DTC Request | A direct-to-customer / special transfer request. |
| Billing | A billing or subscription-history update. |
| Verification | An account-verification request. |
| Holiday Update | A change to one of your holidays. |
| Priority Job | A priority job update. |
| Transfer | A transfer-related update. |
| Time Changed | A transfer time has been changed. |
| Account | An account-related update. |
Unread vs read notifications
Notifications you have not opened yet stand out from ones you have already seen:
- Unread notifications have a blue left border, a bold title, and a small blue dot next to the title.
- Read notifications appear slightly faded, with a normal-weight title and no dot.
Opening the Notifications screen marks your notifications as read.
Tapping a notification to open the related screen
- Find the notification you want to act on.
- Tap the notification card.
- If the notification is linked to something (shown by the open-in-new icon), the app takes you to the related screen.
- Use your phone's back gesture or button to return to the Notifications list.
Some informational notifications are not linked to another screen and simply stay in the list.
Deleting a notification
- On the Notifications list, find the notification you want to remove.
- Swipe left on the notification card — swiping all the way removes it immediately, or you can tap the red bin (trash) icon that appears.
- The notification disappears straight away and a toast appears reading "Notification deleted — tap to undo".
Changed your mind? Tap the toast while it is still on screen (about 4 seconds) to restore the notification.
"You're all caught up!" end state
When you have no notifications remaining, the screen shows "You're all caught up!" — there is nothing new to review.
Loading older notifications
The list loads your most recent notifications first. To see older ones:
- Scroll down toward the bottom of the list.
- The app automatically loads the next batch of older notifications (infinite scroll).
- Continue scrolling until you reach the oldest notification.
