2. Home & Today's Jobs
The Home screen is the first thing you see when you open the app. It shows everything happening today and your pending job offers in one place.
Reading the Home screen
The Home screen has two sections, each with a count badge next to its heading:
-
Today's Job — the location groups scheduled for today. Each job card shows:
- The pick-up time and a countdown (for example, "Starts in 2h 15m")
- Guest name and pax count (adults / children / infants)
- Pick-up and drop-off location
- A status icon
- A Start Job button
If you have nothing today, the section shows "No Jobs Today" with a View Priority Jobs shortcut.
-
Job Offers — your pending (unanswered) job offers, so you can accept or reject them without leaving Home. If there are none, the section shows "No Job Offers".
Starting a job
- On the Today's Job card for the transfer you are about to begin, tap Start Job.
- If prompted for location permissions, choose Always Allow — this lets the app share your position with guests even when the screen is locked.
- The Pick Up Guests screen opens. Continue with the Pick-Up Workflow.
Opening a job's details
- Tap the body of a job card (not the Start Job button) to open the Job Today Detail screen.
- Here you can review the full breakdown: transfer times, locations, assigned guests, and attendance status.
Responding to a job offer from Home
The Job Offers section lists your pending offers with Accept and Reject buttons. See Job Offers for the full offer workflow, including the confirmation dialogs.
Pulling to refresh
- With the Home screen visible, drag the screen downward until you see "Release to refresh".
- Release. The app reloads the latest job data from the server.
Do this if a job you are expecting does not appear on the screen.
Chat and notifications
At the top-right of the Home screen you will find two icons:
- Message icon — opens your Chat inbox. A number badge shows unread messages.
- Bell icon — opens your Notifications. A number badge shows unread alerts.
Location permissions
The app needs your location to broadcast your position to guests and your contractor. If a prompt appears asking for location permission:
- Tap Always Allow (recommended for drivers) or Allow While Using App.
Background location is only active while you have an in-progress job — it turns on when you start a job and turns off once all of today's jobs are done, to save battery.
If you previously denied permission:
- Open your phone's Settings app.
- Find the Rectrix Link app.
- Tap Location.
- Select Always or While Using the App.
